Overview
ititti.es builds local-first tools that run primarily in your browser. Our default posture is simple: we do not want your files on our servers, and we design our active products so audio, video, and other media stay on your device unless you explicitly choose otherwise.
This policy describes what we collect today, what we deliberately avoid retaining, and how that may change as we add optional online features.
What we do not retain
- Your media files — audio, video, and other uploads are processed in the browser. We do not store them on ititti.es infrastructure.
- Listening or viewing history — we do not maintain server-side logs of what you analyze, play, or export.
- Account profiles — our active tools do not require sign-in and do not create user accounts.
Data we may process with your consent
Some features are opt-in. They only run when you enable them (for example, an “allow online metadata lookup” control). When you give that consent, we may send compact file metadata needed for the feature — not the file itself.
On services that offer online identification, this can include:
- An AcoustID-compatible audio fingerprint (derived from your file, not the raw audio)
- Track duration in seconds
- Public catalogue metadata returned by third-party music databases (title, artist, release information)
That metadata may be cached briefly on our edge infrastructure to reduce duplicate lookups and respect upstream API rate limits. Cache entries are keyed by fingerprint and duration, not by your identity.
Data stored on your device
Several tools use localStorage in your browser for preferences and local libraries (for example, language choice, fingerprint libraries, or lookup cache). This data never leaves your device unless a separate opt-in online feature sends the minimum metadata described above.
You can clear site data through your browser settings at any time.
Third-party services
When you opt in to online metadata features, we may query third-party services such as AcoustID and MusicBrainz. Those providers have their own privacy policies and terms. We send only what is required for the lookup you requested.
We use Cloudflare for hosting and, where configured, edge caching. Cloudflare may process standard web request data (such as IP address) as part of operating the service.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not build advertising profiles from your use of our tools.
Future services
Planned features — including deeper third-party integrations, cooperative tools, or identity services — may involve retaining more data than our current local-first tools. When that happens, we will update this policy before those features launch, describe what is stored and why, and require explicit consent where appropriate.
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may revise this policy as our products evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
